Who is Archbishop Di Noia?

Archbishop Di Noia was born in the Bronx in 1943. He became a member of the Order of Preachers (the Dominicans) in 1965 and was ordained a priest in 1970. He earned a doctorate in Theology from Yale University in 1980. He has taught at Providence College, at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington DC, at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, NY, and is a member of the faculty at Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. He was a member of the International Theological Commission from 1997-2002. He was consecrated a bishop on July 11, 2009 when he became the Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship. He currently serves as Assistant Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Archbishop Di Noia is well published and known.
