Laudetur Jesus Christus!
Gelobt sei Jesus Christus!
Praised be Jesus Christ!

I would first of all like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, now that we are in the Christmas Octave and Season. The Church’s celebration of Christmas has just begun, and I hope that the joy of the Christmas Season continues to fill your hearts and homes. Christ came to earth and wedded our human nature to His divine nature so that we could have a share in His Divinity. Christ came to redeem us, elevate us, and make us like God. The sin of Lucifer, Adam, and Eve was an attempt to take the place of God, and presume to be like Him. With the Incarnation of Christ, God Himself has offered to us a share of His Divinity, so that we truly could be like God. May we always remember that, and always live and act with that in mind.

By way of a few updates. You may have noticed a small moveable organ in the Sanctuary before Christmas. This small organ has the ability to control the larger organ in the loft. We had some money left in the organ fund, and Austin Organ gave us a good deal on this addition. This addition will enable us to have the Vespers’ chants accompanied, and will also help when we have concerts and other events that would require the organist to not be in the Sanctuary. Also, now that the organ is finally settling into its new space, we will be planning on an Organ Recital and Dedication at some point in the near future. This will come at some expense, so if anyone would like to donate, please speak to me. Thank you to everyone for your support of the Organ Project!

Finally, a bit of good news about Clare. Her religious worker visa has all been approved and she will be setting up an appointment at the American Embassy in London soon for the final phases of this process. She plans on arriving at some point around Ash Wednesday. I thank again Stephi Sieverding who has graciously offered to work in the office during this transition; she has been a huge help!

Have a blessed week and Happy New Year!
