This Friday, August 5, at 3pm, the Organ Historical Society’s 2022 Convention will be hosting a recital of sacred organ music at Old St. Mary’s to showcase our refurbished 1929 Austin Organ, rebuilt in 2014. Don VerKuilen of Cleveland, OH, will be playing a recital featuring many great works for organ by Catholic composers, especially in the French tradition, many based on Gregorian chant melodies. The OHS is inviting interested members of the parish to attend the recital. The OHS request that attendance be limited to conventioneers and parishioners, however, so please do not pass this information along to the wider community. The recital will last about 40 minutes.
