Effective September 27, 2026
The Cincinnati Oratory operates the Conversion Class Broadcast Scheduler for its own calendar and YouTube channel. This policy explains how the tool uses information obtained through Google.
Information the scheduler accesses and uses
With an authorized staff member’s consent, the scheduler uses read-only Google Calendar access to identify the Oratory’s class calendar and read Conversion Class event titles, dates, start times, and cancellation status. It uses that information to decide which broadcasts to schedule. It does not change calendar events.
The scheduler also requests permission to manage YouTube content on the authorized Oratory channel. It uses that permission to verify the channel, read an existing Conversion Class broadcast and its reusable stream settings, search scheduled broadcasts, create missing broadcasts, and bind them to the existing stream. It does not delete videos, create new stream keys, or send commands to start or stop broadcasts.
Storage, sharing, and retention
Google authorization credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain on the Oratory’s Mac. The OAuth application file is stored locally with restricted file permissions. Operational logs record the channel name and ID, class dates, broadcast titles and IDs, and whether a run succeeded or stopped. The scheduler is designed not to log authorization tokens, stream keys, or private calendar addresses.
The scheduler sends the information needed for these operations to Google’s OAuth, Calendar, and YouTube services. The Oratory does not sell this information, use it for advertising, or share it with another organization through this tool. Google’s own policies govern Google’s handling of data. The scheduler’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Local authorization and operational logs are kept while the scheduler is in use. An authorized staff member may revoke the app’s access through Google Account permissions and remove the local authorization and logs when the tool is retired. Broadcasts already created on YouTube remain until an authorized channel manager changes them.
